Vernacular: Yellow-backed Detritus Moth

Account: Local in barns, warehouses and granaries throughout much of southern Britain, with records north to southern Scotland Similar to M. crocicapitella, which see for differences. Larva feeds on woollen materials and refuse, and detritus in bird nests.
