Vernacular: Common Clothes Moth

Account: Local in houses and farm buildings throughout the British Isles Characterised by reddish ochreous head and pale buff, unmarked forewings. Larva feeds on woollen materials, animal fur, feathers in bird nests and insect collections, living within a silken tube or tent, causing sufficient damage to be a serious pest in some areas.
