Account: Formerly thought to be extinct in Britain, this species is now known from a few recent records in south-eastern England. There are very few old records, and the last entry in MBGBI Vol. 2 was in 1979 (MBGBI). Now known from Essex (2006 and 2019) and Buckinghamshire (2005 - 2013) (source: mothdissection.co.uk), and new to Norfolk in 2020, with one attracted to the HYL lure used for Raspberry Clearwing Similar to Dichomeris alacella, but with yellow/orange head tuft.
