Vernacular: Least Yellow Underwing

Account: Common in hedgerows, gardens, fens, sand-dunes and other open areas throughout England and Wales. The least frequent of the five common Noctua species. Larva feeds on various grasses, and herbaceous plants such as Meadowsweet, Common Mallow and Hawthorn.
