Account: Local on rough ground in southern England. First recorded in Britain at Portland in 1993, this species has rapidly colonised the south coast of England. Frequent in Hampshire in the south-east corner of the county, but very rare inland. On the Isle of Wight first appeared in Parkhurst Forest in 2006 since when reported at several sites on the Island. Larva feeds within seedheads of Bristly Oxtongue.
