Account: Local in fens, marshes, water meadows, damp woodland and gardens throughout much of the British Isles Generally the easiest of the Oligia group to identify. The larva feeds within stems of various grasses, including Reed Canary-grass, Reed Sweet-grass, and Pampas-grass in more urban areas.
