Vernacular: Canary-grass Miner

Account: Common in fens and marshes and by rivers and canals throughout much of the British Isles, extending into Scotland as far north as the southern Highlands (MBGBI Vol 3) Fairly distinctive, although frequently quite variable. Larva mines leaves of Reed Canary-grass and Common Reed.
