Account: Local in oak woodland throughout much of England, Wales and Ireland Easily recognised by the broad, reddish fuscous median area of forewing [Goater]. Larva feeds on Oak, Alder, Birch and Bog-myrtle, living within a spun or rolled leaf, over-wintering as a pupa.
