Account: Common in woodland clearings, damp meadows and marshes, both salt and fresh-water, throughout much of England, Wales and southern Ireland Like many of the Coleophora, imagines are virtually impossible to identify without recourse to dissection. Larva feeds within seed capsules of Compact Rush, Soft-rush, Jointed Rush, Hard Rush and Saltmarsh Rush, subsequently living within a movable case.
