Vernacular: Variegated Golden Tortrix

Account: Common in woodland and gardens throughout the British Isles Most similar to A. crataegana, but differing in the more variegated appearance and smaller size [Bradley]. Larva feeds on various deciduous trees and bushes, including Oak, Elm, Lime, Hazel, Field Maple, Sycamore and Ash, living within a spun or rolled leaf, and over-wintering as an egg.
